In order to open your membership with Gulf Coast Educators FCU, you will need to upload a valid photo ID. You can upload an image of your photo ID or use the camera on your mobile device to take a photo of your ID. You will upload it using the form below. Once we receive your application, our membership team will process it and send you an email with documents to sign. Once you sign the documents, someone from our team will contact you to let you know your membership is opened.
By submitting this form, you are authorizing Gulf Coast Educators FCU to open a membership (Primary Share Account) in addition to any other selected accounts.

Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. Therefore, we may ask for certain information.
What This Means to You:
When you open a new account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. In addition, we may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents. For additional information, you may visit the NCUA Consumer Assistance Center.

Three Ways To Become A Member
To become a member of Gulf Coast Educators FCU, you must fall within our field of membership.
1. School District Employee
Employees who work regularly in the Educational Industry in the state of Texas, meaning they work for:
- an elementary school, secondary school, or post-secondary school;
- a county superintendent of schools office;
- an authorized education foundation; or
- a school board, either as employees or trustees.
Those who have retired as pensioners or annuitants from above employment are also eligible.
2. GCEFCU Employee
Employees of Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union are eligible for membership.
3. Family Members
Immediate families or households that fall within the chart below are eligible for membership, as well as spouses of those who have died while whithin the field of membership of this credit union.
